The 2020 teams for Varsity and JV teams have been picked and uploaded to the website. The schedule will be posted shortly, but until then, go check out your team. Take a look at your jersey number that is on the website and if it is 0 (or incorrect at all) let a member of the committee know and we’ll get it changed before the season starts.
The 2019 season has started! A pdf copy of the schedule is available on the Schedules tab. This year there are 4 varsity teams, 6 JV teams and 6 D-League teams. As usual, JV and D-League teams will play each Monday night and Varsity teams will play each Wednesday night.
For those that are looking for the stats and video for Monday’s opening games, please be patient. There have not been any position trainings held for this season yet, and as a result, the knowledge of how to upload both stats and video wasn’t there. The uploads should be available by Wednesday after the varsity games take place. Both JV and Varsity games will be uploaded. For any questions, contact any member of the DCCS Basketball Committee. Hope you all enjoy this season!
There have been a lot of volunteers to take the responsibilities of camera, scoreboard, stats, ref and EM; and for that, we are grateful. The Varsity position schedule has been updated to reflect the change in responsibilities. Please be aware of the dates and times you are committed to helping.
Schedules
Up-to-date schedules for all leagues have been uploaded and can be found on the Schedules tab.
Responsibilities
As always, the responsibilities of each team/player is listed on the schedule. However, this season there is an opportunity opening up for all players. Qualified players that are willing to assist with sideline duties for 10-16 games can have their league fee waived, reduced, or refunded (if you’ve already paid). This applies to EM, refs, stats, scoreboard, or camera sideline positions. Anyone interested, contact Garrett. Spots will fill up quick!
Camera
There have been some issues with the video recording being uploaded to YouTube. The current application that is being used on the camera iPad is no longer supported; therefore, when the camera operator follows the instructions on the back of the iPad and uploads them, nothing actually happens. We are in the process of developing a new process for recording and uploading the videos. Also, due to the video backlog, several of the recordings of the games have been deleted before upload. We appreciate the patience of all the players waiting to watch their games, and we are doing everything we can to get the videos we do have uploaded. For any questions or suggestions, feel free to contact Chris.
